Established a technical basis for efficient co-transformation of forest fiber, in particular breaking the monopoly of high-activity cellulases in Europe and the United States, completing localization of C5/C6 sugar co-fermentation core technology, and developing simultaneous multi-enzyme co-saccharification multi-microbes The co-fermentation (MSSCF) ethanol production technology achieved a leap-forward technological advancement from the fermentation of a single strain of C6 sugar to the co-fermentation of multiple strains of C5/C6 sugar; it broke through the key green manufacturing technology of wood fiber nanomaterials, and in particular established Different synergies between biodegradation and nanoprecipitation of lignocellulosic fibres led to a new approach to the high-value green utilization of wood fibres; a technological system for the utilization of woody biomass wastewater was developed, in particular lignin was proposed. The maximizing green benefits such as modified phenolic resin and residue-derived functional fertilizers make biomass conversion and biomass return to perfection.

The project has applied for more than 30 national invention patents, won 5 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological achievements, won the first prize of the 2016 Hunan Science and Technology Progress Award, won the 2017 Liang Xi Forestry Science and Technology Award, and the technology as a whole was recognized by leading experts as an international advanced level. It has provided the technological basis for the construction and development of the green full-quantity transformation industrial chain. It has been applied in 14 enterprises in several provinces such as Hunan, increasing the output value of 441 million yuan, increasing carbon sinks by 200,000 tons, and generating more than 200,000 jobs in the entire industry chain.
