Ningxia 620,000 tons aluminum processing project held the groundbreaking ceremony

On April 17, the opening ceremony for all key projects in 2013 in Zhongning County, Ningxia, was officially held. This event marked the start of the 620,000-ton aluminum processing project by Jiasheng Yuanda, one of the major initiatives in the region. Attendees included officials from the Ningxia Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission, Economic and Information Commission, Industry and Commerce Federation, as well as representatives from Zhongwei City and Zhongning County. Luo Xiaoyun, Deputy General Manager of China Metallurgical Group, was also present at the event. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on the site of Jiasheng Yuanda’s aluminum processing project, which is being constructed by Jianye Company, part of China No.1 Metallurgical Group. Zhao Jianxin, the county governor of Zhongning County, served as the host of the ceremony.

The Ningxia Jiasheng Yuanda 620,000-ton aluminum processing project spans over 3,500 acres and will be developed in three phases. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to produce 30,000 tons of common strip blanks annually, 80,000 tons of aluminum foil blanks, 60,000 tons of aluminum alloy rods, 50,000 tons of building blanks, and 30,000 tons of PS plate base blanks. Additional outputs include 120,000 tons of hot-rolled aluminum ingots, 150,000 tons of aluminum alloy ingots, 60,000 tons of extrusion materials, 40,000 tons of transportation plate strips, and 350,000 tons of anodes. With a total production value of 15.3 billion yuan, the project is projected to generate 3.6 billion yuan in profits and taxes, while creating over 3,000 job opportunities in the local area. This development is expected to significantly boost the regional economy and support long-term industrial growth in Ningxia.
