The 2013 Middle East (Dubai) International Horticultural and Outdoor Leisure Products Exhibition took place from May 17 to May 19, 2013. Held annually, the event is one of the most significant trade shows in the region, attracting a wide range of exhibitors and visitors from around the world. The exhibition was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE, a premier venue for international events.
In 2011, the exhibition covered an area of 23,500 square meters, featuring 436 exhibitors who showcased their products to over 32,185 visitors. This impressive turnout highlights the growing interest in horticulture and outdoor leisure products in the Middle East.
The exhibition featured a broad range of products including outdoor furniture, garden machinery, landscape design, garden construction, ornamental plants, outdoor lighting, garden decorations, and landscaping solutions. Additional categories included street equipment, fountains and pond systems, fertilizers, irrigation systems, water pipes, stone products, and swimming pool equipment.
The Middle East is currently undergoing a massive construction boom, with billions of dollars invested in residential, commercial, and entertainment infrastructure. As part of this development, there is a rising demand for green spaces and outdoor amenities. With nearly 100 square kilometers of new green areas being developed, industries such as gardening, horticulture, and outdoor design are experiencing rapid growth.
Over the past decade, the population in the Gulf region has grown significantly, along with an increase in tourism. This has led to greater demand for outdoor leisure and garden-related products. The favorable climate in the region—nearly nine months of good weather—encourages people to spend a large portion of their time outdoors, whether for dining, relaxation, or socializing. On average, residents enjoy more than three meals per week in gardens or open-air spaces, showing a strong market potential.
