Professional alloy steel pipe plant introduces 12Cr1MoV alloy pipe main purpose

The professional alloy steel pipe plant has introduced the primary applications of the 12Cr1MoV alloy pipe. This type of alloy tube is commonly utilized for the heating surfaces in low and medium-pressure boilers, where the working pressure typically does not exceed 5.88 MPa and the operating temperature stays below 450°C. For high-pressure boilers, which usually operate at pressures above 9.8 MPa with temperatures ranging from 450°C to 650°C, the 12Cr1MoV alloy tube serves as a crucial component in the superheater, reheater, heating surface tubes, economizers, and various sectors within the petrochemical industry. Seamless steel tubes, given their diverse applications, are categorized into several types, including alloy steel tubes. The 12Cr1MoV alloy tube is recyclable, aligning with national strategies promoting environmental protection, energy efficiency, and resource conservation. Government policies also encourage the expanded use of alloy tubes. In developed countries, the consumption of such pipes accounts for only half of the total steel usage, indicating significant potential for industrial growth. According to research conducted by the China Special Steel Association’s 12Cr1MoV alloy pipe division, China's demand for high-pressure alloy pipe long products is projected to grow by an average of 11-13% annually in the future. The 12Cr1MoV alloy pipe is primarily employed in high-pressure equipment after undergoing normalizing and high-temperature tempering processes. These pipes are used to manufacture superheaters, conduits, serpentine pipes, and other related forgings that operate at temperatures not exceeding 570~585°C. This steel grade is extensively used in critical components of power station boilers, such as superheaters, headers, and main steam ducts. It exhibits excellent thermal and oxidation resistance at 580°C, along with high permanent plasticity. Its production process is straightforward, and it demonstrates good weldability. However, it is sensitive to normal cooling rates, and prolonged exposure at 580°C may lead to pearlite spheroidization. For calculating the weight of an alloy steel pipe, the formula is as follows: [(Outer Diameter - Wall Thickness) * Wall Thickness] * 0.02466 = kg/meter (weight per meter) Here, the outer diameter and wall thickness are measured in millimeters. The 12Cr1MoV alloy tube draws its information from reliable sources, ensuring its suitability for demanding industrial applications. While this material offers numerous advantages, it is essential to consider its limitations, such as sensitivity to cooling rates, when selecting it for specific projects. Understanding these factors helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of the components made from this alloy tube.
