Design of a chamfering knife
One of the processes in the ZUNDAPP motorcycle engine connecting rod that our factory processes is chamfering. Since the two sides of the large end of the connecting rod (Fig. 1) are not continuous planes, there are four raised bosses. Cutting is not continuous during chamfering. If a common multi-blade boring tool is used, not only the cutting speed is slow but also because the back angle is too large.
