Reducing noise in imported bearings, especially IKO bearings, is a complex and multifaceted process. The sources of noise in these bearings are numerous and often interrelated. To effectively address this issue, it’s essential to analyze every component of the bearing system, including the inner ring, outer ring, cage, rolling elements, and lubricant (oil or grease). Additionally, the materials used, the manufacturing processes, and even the equipment and techniques involved in the production must be thoroughly examined. This foundational approach is key to mastering the skills required to reduce bearing noise. While IKO, a leading foreign bearing manufacturer, has already achieved high levels of noise reduction, the industry continues to push forward. The next big step is the development of “silent” bearings. Over the next decade, the trend in Chinese bearing technology will focus on eliminating unusual sounds and achieving new levels of vibration control—aiming to match the standards set by leading industrial nations in the late 1990s. To tackle the issue of unevenness and improve vibration levels, new control standards must be introduced. This includes setting tighter limits on amplitude and focusing on improving the roundness of the rolling surfaces and raceways. Ensuring smooth contact between rolling elements and reducing the particle size of grease impurities are also crucial steps. The required surface roughness for rolls and raceways should be controlled to 0.001μm, while grease impurities must not exceed 0.01μm. Cage ball and socket roundness should also be improved, with a precision of 0.01μm between the cage and rolling elements. By continuously refining these aspects, manufacturers can significantly enhance bearing performance and user experience.
