Application Analysis of Spring Damping Vibration Isolation System in Press

The system's amplitude response under dynamic loading is minimal and does not interfere with the normal operation of the equipment. The balance quality of the reinforced concrete pedestal plays a crucial role in maintaining stability. To verify the calculated results, we conducted ground vibration tests at the edge of the press at the screw press factory test machine (without vibration isolation) and during normal operation (in an isolated state) at Ziyang Locomotive Works. The actual measurements showed that horizontal vibration velocity was reduced from 51.2289 mm/s to 13.2289 mm/s after implementing vibration isolation. In the vertical direction, the vibration velocity remained below the maximum allowable limit specified in Table %. After being subjected to dynamic loads, the system quickly stabilized, as the damping system effectively absorbed the vibration energy. Globally, the basic vibration isolation technology for large screw presses primarily relies on spring-based isolation systems. This method has been widely adopted in large-scale screw presses introduced into China, including those used by Xi'an Hangfa Group, which have performed well so far. Medium-sized screw presses manufactured domestically, such as those purchased by the three forging factories of Xi'an Hangfa Group and acquired by Liaoning Aomag Co., Ltd. (all produced by Qingdao Forging Group), also utilize the company’s elastic vibration isolation technology. Extensive practical applications both domestically and internationally have demonstrated that using an elastic vibration isolation system in screw presses fundamentally prevents foundation displacement and anchor bolt fractures. It significantly reduces high-frequency vibrations in the foundation and surrounding environment, and rapidly attenuates the high-frequency stress cycles acting on the machine frame. As a result, equipment failure rates are significantly lowered, and the working environment is greatly improved. We must fully recognize the potential hazards associated with forging equipment, such as die-forging presses, forging hammers, and presses. Following the principle of human-centered technology, we should apply reasonable, advanced, and effective vibration control methods to achieve vibration isolation. This helps eliminate vibration interference and harm, protecting the equipment, extending its service life, improving the working environment, enhancing the environmental protection level of the factory and surrounding areas, and ultimately benefiting the people.
