2. Temperature Control: The ideal temperature range for gardenias is between 16°C and 18°C. Extreme heat or cold can hinder their development. During summer, place your plant in a shaded, well-ventilated area—such as under a tree or in a covered porch—to protect it from direct sunlight. In winter, ensure it's kept in a sunny spot where temperatures don't drop below 0°C. Avoid keeping it too warm, as this may reduce flowering in the following season.

Water when the top layer of soil feels dry to the touch, but avoid overwatering, particularly after flower buds have formed, as excessive moisture can cause bud drop.
