Indoor wooden door installation steps and processes

First, the door cover installation:

1. The door set must be securely connected, flat, and free of visible seams. All fixed parts should be properly locked. The diagonal measurement of the door cover should be accurate, with a tolerance of less than 1 mm for spans under 2 meters and up to 1.5 mm for longer sections.

2. Once installed, the door should be perfectly aligned both vertically and horizontally. Vertical alignment should have a tolerance of ±2 mm, while horizontal straightness should not exceed ±1 mm. The door cover must be fixed to the wall using at least three screws per meter. The width of the door cover should be more than 200 mm, and a metal bracket should be installed for added stability. The gap between the door cover and the wall should be sealed with foam rubber on both sides, ensuring even application, allowing it to dry, and then trimming it to a smooth finish.

Second, the installation of the trim:

1. The trim should be evenly adhered to both the door cover and the wall. The joints should be smooth, tight, and seamless. After installation, all trim on the same side should lie in a single plane. If the wall is uneven, the trim interface must still remain flat. A slight curve in the trim is acceptable, with a tolerance of 1 mm. A sealing strip should be applied along the gap between the trim and the wall for better aesthetics and durability.

Third, the installation of the door leaf:

1. After installing the door leaf, it should be flat and vertical. The surface of the door leaf should align with the exposed part of the door cover. The door should open smoothly without any unusual noise, and the operation should be flexible and effortless.

2. The gap between the door cover and the door leaf should be 6 mm at the bottom and 2 mm on the other three sides, with a tolerance of ±0.5 mm for all gaps.

3. When the door is closed, it should fit tightly against the seal strip and remain stable without any shaking or wobbling.

Fourth, the hardware installation:

1. The hinges of the door should be mounted straight and flush. The hinge slots must match the door leaf and the door cover precisely. The notches should be uniform, matching the size of the hinges, with a tolerance of ±0.5 mm on all sides. The joint should be smooth and seamless. The door should open and close easily. The triple-hinge system should be mounted in the mold, and the latch must be fully inserted. All fixing screws should be fully tightened, straight, and hidden within the hinge plane for a clean look.

2. The lock slot must be accurately cut and match the dimensions of the lock body and the latch. The door lock should function smoothly, with no noise when locking or unlocking. All accessories must be fully installed, and the screws should be secure and properly aligned.

3. Components such as the door closer, magnetic catch, and handles should be installed in their designated positions. They must be firmly fixed, with all screws properly tightened and aligned for optimal performance and appearance.

Fifth, the overall appearance:

1. The gap between the door frame and the trim should be less than 3 mm, and this space should be sealed with waterproof sealant for long-term protection.

2. Once the entire door is installed, it should be level, operate smoothly, and present a clean, professional look without any scratches or damage.
