In recent developments, the Shengdong Oil Production Plant Technical Quality Supervision Center under the Shengli Oil Field has taken significant steps to enhance employee safety by strictly adhering to labor protection regulations. The center has improved the management and utilization of specialized protective equipment, ensuring regular inspections to maintain high standards of quality and safety. To better equip employees, the center has introduced a range of lightweight, flexible, and electrically insulated gloves, including 500V, 3000V, and 12000V models, after thorough research and evaluation. These items have been deployed following successful inspections, meeting the specific needs of different job roles and voltage requirements. This initiative not only simplifies on-site operations but also supports testing activities in production areas while maintaining a safe working environment.
In addition, the center is reinforcing the proper use of special protective gear, strictly following inspection protocols for insulating gloves. A detailed inspection plan has been implemented, ensuring that all glove inspections are conducted thoroughly. The goal is to achieve a 100% inspection rate for protective equipment. Any item that fails to meet the required standards will be discarded immediately, guaranteeing that only reliable and safe equipment is used by workers.
Another notable development comes from China Southern Power Grid, which has established unified management over labor insurance products. The company launched the "Standards for the Production of General Labor Protection Products," creating 43 sets of uniforms across five categories—management, operation, maintenance, sales, rescue, and disaster relief. Alongside this, 18 supporting labor protection items and signage cards were designed, covering a total of 43 standards. These cover 9 major jobs in power supply (transmission), 48 similar roles, and 7 key positions in hydropower, involving 39 related roles. This marks the creation of the company’s first comprehensive technical standard system for labor protection products, signaling a shift from basic protection and procurement to a more integrated, professional, standardized, and serialized approach.
