Economic downturn, new machine orders fell in June

Abstract According to recent reports, the overall demand in the machinery industry during June did not show significant improvement. Most companies are operating in a macroeconomic environment that remains challenging, and few have managed to achieve substantial profits. Among them, the number of response orders from machine tool manufacturers declined slightly, indicating weak demand. Meanwhile, construction machinery companies reported stable sales during the off-season, meeting their expectations.

Despite the seasonal fluctuations, new orders for machine tools remain insufficient. Most companies indicate that the number of orders in June dropped compared to the previous month, with a slight decline year-over-year, which aligns with their expectations. Given the current economic climate and reduced market activity, companies are not overly optimistic. The lack of strong recovery in downstream industries has kept demand subdued.

On the other hand, construction machinery firms noted that their sales performance in June was in line with projections. While there were no major changes in the industry’s overall health, demand from end-users remained relatively stable during the off-season. Some companies believe this year’s performance is slightly better than last year, but overall business conditions are still at a low level, reflecting the ongoing challenges in the sector.
