On the afternoon of the 17th, the 12th regular meeting on the promotion of major projects in Luoyang City was held in 2013. This time, the meeting took an on-site approach, visiting several key industrial parks and enterprises, including the CITIC Heavy Industry High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, Axis Technology Industrial Park, Luoyang Tongyi Metal Materials Development Co., Ltd., which is working on a multi-metal composite strip industrialization project with an annual output of 80,000 tons, as well as Henan Tongda Cable Co., Ltd., focusing on electrified railway contact network wires and load cable product projects. During the visit, officials discussed and coordinated various matters related to project development and implementation.
The meeting also highlighted the progress of the first phase of the Axis Technology Industrial Park project, which aims to produce 500,000 sets of high-performance clutch bearings for industrial use. The project is scheduled to begin trial production by the end of this year. The construction of the first phase includes the development and industrialization of new precision bearings, clutch components for aircraft and new energy vehicles, bearings for high-speed railways and urban rail transit, as well as special ceramics and new materials for bearings. Currently, the main structural framework of the workshop for aircraft and new energy vehicle clutch components has been completed, covering approximately 25,000 square meters. The main building of the auxiliary facilities has already been topped out, and maintenance work is ongoing.
It is reported that the project's products will be widely applied in fields such as aviation, aerospace, navigation, high-speed rail, urban transit, and automotive industries. Once operational, the project is expected to significantly reduce China’s reliance on imported bearings in certain areas. Upon full operation, the project will have an annual production capacity of 1.1 million high-speed precision bearings and other specialized bearings. It is anticipated that the project will generate an annual output value of 3.6 billion yuan and create around 3,000 job opportunities, contributing positively to the local economy and technological advancement.
