Luoyang high performance clutch bearing project put into operation at the end of the year

On the afternoon of the 17th, the 12th regular meeting on the promotion of major projects in Luoyang City was held in 2013. This session took an on-site approach, visiting several key industrial parks and enterprises, including the CITIC Heavy Industry High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, the Axis Technology Industrial Park, Luoyang Tongyi Metal Materials Development Co., Ltd., which is working on a multi-metal composite strip project with an annual output of 80,000 tons, and Henan Tongda Cable Co., Ltd., focusing on electrified railway contact network wires and load cable products. The purpose of the visit was to review and coordinate relevant project matters.
During the meeting, it was revealed that the first phase of the Axis Technology Industrial Park project will produce 500,000 sets of high-performance clutch bearings for industrial use. Trial production is expected to begin this December. The construction of the first phase involves the development and commercialization of new precision bearings, clutch components for aircraft and new energy vehicles, high-speed rail and urban rail vehicle bearings, as well as special ceramics and new materials for bearings.
Currently, the main structural framework of the workshop for clutch components used in aircraft and new energy vehicles has been completed, covering an area of approximately 25,000 square meters. The main building of the auxiliary structure has already been topped off, and ongoing maintenance work is being carried out.
It is understood that the project’s products will have wide applications in fields such as aviation, aerospace, navigation, high-speed rail, urban transit, and automotive industries. Once operational, the project is expected to break the long-standing reliance on imported bearings in certain areas. Upon full operation, the facility will be capable of producing 1.1 million sets of high-speed precision bearings and other specialized bearings annually. It is projected to generate an annual output value of 3.6 billion yuan and create around 3,000 job opportunities.
