The 11 experts including Wang Guodong and Yan Changwen, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, were employed by the city as members of the Science and Technology Advisory Group to help develop the high-end aluminum industry.

In recent years, low-priced coal has been used to create low-price advantages, and the “Huolin Model”, which promotes the development of high-end aluminum materials with low-cost primary aluminum production capacity, has been recognized by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. Relying on the multiple advantages of policies, resources, technologies, and costs, Huolin Goller City will carry the development of high-energy-carrying industries with the “sunset” complementary energy consumption model, continuously expand the space for clean energy applications, and promote the low-carbon development of high-energy-carrying industries. At present, an industrial chain system for aluminum and aluminum post-processing has been formed, and 2 million tons of primary aluminum production capacity will be formed during the year. At the same time, plans to form 4 million tons of primary aluminum production capacity in 2018, to increase the conversion rate on the spot to more than 90%, to build a national high-end aluminum industry base, a new industrialization industrial demonstration base and a new energy industry base.
